Esbjerg Shipyard A/S was established in 2003 by a large number of companies connected to the activities at the Port of Esbjerg, partly with the aim of acquiring a floating dock from a bankrupt shipyard in Lübeck.

Granly Gruppen A/S, which was a minority shareholder from the start, took over
the majority of the shares in 2007. With effect from January 1, 2011, Granly Marine A/S was merged into Esbjerg Shipyard A/S.

Esbjerg Shipyard A/S operates two docks with a capacity of up to 4500 tonnes. In 2016, a major expansion of approximately 1450 m² with a 15 meter clearance under the crane was completed to meet customer demands within shipbuilding, repair and seafastening.

Our target customer base primarily comprises the European market, and our ambition remains to be a full-service shipyard with specialized expertise in newbuilding and repair of all types of vessels.
